Google Energy buying power from Oklahoma wind farm

Google Energy has signed a deal to buy wind power from NextEra Energy Resources. The deal is the second between the two companies, and will see the Google subsidiary purchase 100.8MW of electricity from NextEra’s under development Minco II Wind Energy Centre in Oklahoma. The project, located in the counties of Grady and Caddo, will comprise 63 GE Energy wind turbines and is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
